1. Who we are and what this policy covers
EverNorth Ventures Inc. operates Quizy, an adult dating and connection service. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information through Quizy’s app, website, account services, communications and support. “We”, “us” and “our” mean EverNorth Ventures Inc. Our mailing address is 419-39 Brant Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 0M8, Canada. Contact privacy@quizy.ca for privacy questions and requests, or support@quizy.ca for service assistance.
This is version 0.1. Its publication and effective dates appear with the published document. Features and availability may differ by market, account eligibility, device and release. Descriptions of optional features apply when those features are available and used. This policy does not replace notices or choices presented when particular information is collected.
2. Information you provide
Account and verification information includes your email address, telephone number, authentication and verification records, and identifiers associated with Sign in with Apple when you use it. We use date of birth to establish adult eligibility and age-related matching. Quizy is for people aged 18 and older. Please contact us if you believe a person under 18 has supplied personal information.
Profile information includes your name, photographs, biography, locality, gender, dating interests, age preferences, and profile attributes you choose to provide. Depending on your choices, attributes and self-descriptions may reveal sensitive information such as sexual orientation, religious beliefs, political views, ethnicity, health-related circumstances or relationship preferences. Avoid including information you do not wish to share or information about another person without authority.
Interaction information includes personal quiz questions, quiz versions, submitted answers, temporary answer drafts, Requests, responses, connections, messages, and actions such as hiding, passing, unmatching, blocking and reporting. We also process invitations, Ambassador applications and referral relationships when you participate in those features.
Support and safety information includes communications with us, report reasons and explanations, reported material, necessary surrounding context, review decisions and records of authorized access. Subscription information includes Apple transaction and subscription identifiers, entitlement status and related verification records. Apple processes purchases through its own payment services; do not send payment-card details to Quizy support.
3. Information generated through use
We process service and security metadata, such as verification attempts, session and token records, request timing, network information where needed for security, device or installation identifiers used for notifications, push tokens, notification preferences, delivery state and diagnostic information. Technical processing may involve your IP address or a protected representation of it. We do not collect an IP address or full user-agent merely as evidence of legal acceptance.
Your selected locality determines your service market. Age, gender and dating preferences support reciprocal eligibility and Discovery. Selecting a locality is not the same as granting continuous access to precise device location. This policy does not represent that Quizy continuously tracks your physical location.
Our website uses cookies or comparable session mechanisms where necessary for authentication, security and site operation. Device and browser settings may limit these mechanisms, which may affect functionality. This policy does not authorize advertising tracking or unrestricted analytics involving private content. Any materially different optional tracking requires appropriate disclosure and choice before use.
4. Why we use personal information
We use information to create and secure accounts; verify contact details and eligibility; maintain profiles, quizzes and preferences; determine authorized Discovery and feature access; deliver Requests, answers, connections and messages; administer invitations and subscriptions; provide notifications and support; prevent abuse and investigate reports; maintain service reliability; and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Matching uses relevant reciprocal eligibility, locality-derived market and permitted preferences. Optional attribute filters use information made available for authorized Discovery. We do not treat undisclosed optional attributes as negative answers or infer sensitive attributes from photographs, names, private messages or unrelated information. Quizy does not promise that eligibility or a connection predicts compatibility, identity or personal safety.
Operational measurement may use necessary metadata and aggregate information. Private message bodies, submitted answers and sensitive profile or question content do not belong in ordinary analytics, general application logs or push notification payloads. We do not use this policy as permission for unrestricted private-content analysis, advertising profiles or sale of personal information.
5. Consent and your choices
We explain collection and use through this policy and relevant feature notices. Where consent is required, its form depends on the sensitivity, purpose and reasonable expectations involved. Providing or acknowledging this policy is not blanket consent to every use of personal information. Optional sensitive disclosures and new purposes require appropriate choices and, where required, express consent.
You can leave optional attributes unanswered, use available visibility settings, update preferences, control optional social notifications, pause Discovery, and use available account and safety controls. Religious and political information is hidden by default and requires deliberate disclosure to eligible members. Hidden information is not made available through optional attribute filters. Private age and gender eligibility inputs have a separate role in reciprocal matching.
You may withdraw consent for consent-based processing by changing available settings or contacting privacy@quizy.ca. We will explain relevant consequences and any lawful limits. Withdrawing information necessary to provide a feature may prevent that feature or continued participation. Withdrawal does not undo processing already lawfully performed. Account/security communications are distinct from optional social notifications.
6. What other members can see
Eligible members can receive profile information and photographs according to service access and your visibility choices. An exact question and submitted answer may be disclosed to the relevant recipient as part of a Request or reciprocal exchange. Messages are available to authorized conversation participants. Temporary answer drafts are for the answering member and are not sent to a recipient merely because they were saved.
Interactions can preserve the question versions and answers originally exchanged, so later edits do not silently replace their historical context. Current profile access remains subject to current visibility, account and safety rules. Blocking, unmatching, pausing, hiding and deletion have different effects; hiding an item in your own view does not necessarily erase another participant’s information or authorized safety evidence.
Information intentionally shared with another member can be remembered, copied or captured by that person. Quizy cannot guarantee that recipients will keep it confidential. Do not share financial details, credentials, highly sensitive information or another person’s private information in profiles or conversations unless you understand and accept the disclosure involved.
7. Service providers, Apple and other disclosures
We use service providers as needed for hosting, databases, storage, communications, authentication and verification, notifications, security and technical operations. Relevant integrations include Apple for sign-in, subscriptions and push delivery, Twilio for phone verification, and OpenAI for automated content safety checks when that integration is enabled. Only information needed for the relevant purpose should be sent. Provider availability and enabled integrations may change; this list does not represent that every integration is active for every user or environment.
We may disclose personal information to authorized providers acting for us under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection arrangements. Apple and other independent services also process information under their own terms and privacy policies when you interact directly with them. Quizy does not control their independent processing, payment systems or device permissions.
We may disclose information where legally required or otherwise permitted by applicable law, including valid legal process and necessary protection against fraud, security threats or serious harm. We assess requests in light of their lawful basis and scope. A proposed financing, reorganization or business transfer may involve protected disclosure subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality; any subsequent use remains subject to applicable privacy obligations.
8. Content safety and human access
Configured automated safety checks may process submitted profile text, questions or photographs to assess content against service rules. Such checks may involve a service provider and can produce inaccurate results. They are distinct from routine analysis of private conversations. Contact support if you believe content has been held or restricted in error.
Account administration does not grant unrestricted access to private interactions. Authorized human review normally follows a member report or a specific held-content review. Reviewers may inspect the reported item and limited necessary surrounding context under scoped access controls and accountable access records. Reports are not automatic findings of misconduct. We do not disclose a reporter’s identity to the reported member as part of the ordinary reporting flow.
9. Safeguards and international processing
We use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information, including access controls, protected authentication, application-level encryption for private message bodies and submitted quiz answers, and restricted content delivery. Authorized backend operations can decrypt protected content where needed to provide the service or conduct permitted review. This is not end-to-end encryption, and no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
We and our providers may process or store information outside Ontario or Canada. Information handled abroad may be subject to the laws and lawful access processes of the relevant country. We remain responsible for information under our control and for appropriate protection when using providers. Contact privacy@quizy.ca for questions about cross-border processing; we do not promise Canadian-only storage.
10. Retention and account deletion
We retain personal information only as needed for the identified service purposes and authorized legal, security, commercial or moderation purposes. Relevant factors include the information’s purpose and sensitivity, active interactions, unresolved reports or disputes, legal obligations and the need to dispose of or anonymize information when its purpose ends. This policy does not establish blanket indefinite retention or promise a fixed period for every category.
Available account deletion processes revoke access and remove account/profile information and personal data that no longer has an authorized purpose. Narrowly necessary records may remain subject to restricted access for legitimate evidence, fraud prevention, transaction or legal purposes. Retained records are not permission to keep a live discoverable profile or to browse private content routinely.
Deletion can affect authored content and historical exchanges. Other participants may see a neutral account-deleted state rather than your active identity, and independently held copies cannot be recalled by Quizy. Backup, provider and legally retained copies may have a different disposal lifecycle from active service data. We do not promise immediate erasure from every backup or provider system. Contact us about the scope and status of a deletion request. Deleting Quizy does not itself cancel an Apple subscription; manage that separately through Apple.
11. Access, correction and complaints
Contact privacy@quizy.ca to request access to personal information under our control, ask how it has been used or disclosed, seek correction, withdraw consent or raise a privacy concern. We may request proportionate identity verification to protect your information. Do not send passwords, authentication codes or unnecessary identity documents by email.
We respond in accordance with applicable law. Access and correction can be subject to lawful exceptions, including protection of another person’s information, confidential legal material or legitimate investigative restrictions. We will explain applicable limits where permitted. Some corrections cannot be made through ordinary profile editing; contacting us allows the request to be assessed without rewriting historical evidence improperly.
You may also raise concerns with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another competent privacy regulator. Contacting Quizy first does not waive your right to complain to a regulator.
12. Changes and contact
We publish the applicable version and effective date with this policy and preserve published versions through the legal-document service. We will provide additional notice and obtain any required consent when a change calls for it. Publication or a version-number change alone does not establish your consent to a new purpose.
