Sharing information and meeting safely

Updated

Keep control of what you share and how you meet.

Protect personal details

Avoid sharing passwords, verification codes, financial information, identity documents or your home address with someone you have just met. Be cautious about requests for money or pressure to move quickly off the service.

Plan on your terms

If you choose to meet, consider a public place, your own transport and letting someone you trust know your plans. You can stop an interaction whenever you feel uncomfortable. A completed quiz, subscription or connection does not verify identity or guarantee safety.

Use safety controls

Report suspicious conduct and block further contact when appropriate. In immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than waiting for a support reply.
